The Venu 2S is compatible with 18mm standard quick-release bands, while the Venu 2 works with 22mm straps. As a more affordable alternative, the $199.99 Garmin Lily is smaller and more female friendly. ![]() The Vivoactive 4, in comparison, has a sunlight-visible, transflective memory-in-pixel display, which looks dull indoors but is easier to read outside. Outside in bright sun, you might have to squint a little. The Venu 2's bright, colorful, and responsive AMOLED display is easy to read indoors. Left to right: Garmin Vivoactive 4S, Venu 2S, Lily The $349.99 Vivoactive 4 is easily one my favorite-looking smartwatches, and the Venu 2 sports a nearly identical design with an attractive metal bezel and two physical buttons on the right side, but with a superior screen. The Venu 2S I tested is slim, lightweight, and comfortable. The Venu 2 measures 1.8 by 1.8 by 0.48 inches, has a 1.3-inch display with 416-by-416 resolution, and weighs 1.7 ounces. The Venu 2S measures 1.6 by 1.6 by 0.48 inches (WHD), has a 1.1-inch display with 360-by-360-pixel resolution, and weighs 1.3 ounces. Garmin sent me the light sand/light gold Venu 2S for this review, but I'll primarily refer to it as the Venu 2, since the models are mostly identical aside from battery life, size, and weight (I'll refer to each model by name in places where they differ). At launch, this is only an option for the Venu 2S, with availability for the Venu 2 to follow. In addition, Venu 2 series is customizable via Your Watch Your Way so you can pick and choose your band and bezel combination. The 45mm model, the Venu 2, is for wrists 5.3 to 7.8 inches and comes in blue granite/silver or all black. The 40mm model, called the Venu 2S, is for wrists measuring 4.3 to 6.8 inches in circumference and comes in graphite/slate, light sand/light gold, mist gray/silver, or white/rose gold color options. The watch comes in two sizes, 40mm and 45 mm, and several color options. ![]() The second-generation Venu offers a number of improvements over the original model, including longer battery life with faster charging and a battery saver mode, a daily Sleep Score and sleep insights, a Fitness Age metric, a new HIIT activity profile, and a revamped strength training activity profile with graphics to show which muscle groups you worked. An Attractive Design With a Bright Touch Screen ![]() The Apple Watch Series 6 and Samsung Galaxy Watch3 offer more value with built-in voice assistants, better calling and texting capabilities, and greater third-party app support, but the Venu 2 is an attractive alternative if health and fitness are your main concerns. It's good for anyone who likes to mix up their routine with a variety of activities like biking, running, strength training, walking, and yoga, or who wants to keep a close eye on their health metrics with quick and accurate blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and respiration rate readings, among many others. It builds on its predecessor with better battery life, more music storage, and new sports apps. Luckily, Garmin's $399.99 Venu 2 smartwatch excels on both fronts, starting with a gorgeous AMOLED display, a classy stainless steel bezel, and availability in different sizes and colors to suit a range of tastes. When it comes to wearable tech, looks are arguably as important as features. Best Hosted Endpoint Protection and Security Software.
